National Council of Saffron implemented the plan of quality improvement for Iranian Saffron production in two villages of Qaen.According to the report of ICCIM's Public Relations quoted from Mashhad Chamber, Gholam Hosein Shafei, National council of Saffron's head said in the opening ceremony of this plan, "Saffron is an exceptional product in worldwide."
Emphasizing that national council of Saffron is not an executive institution and it is a policy one and needs to support in financial and spiritual aspects, he explained: "the permanent site of Saffron national council will be based in Qaen's council and these sites will be gradually established in other cities."
He emphasized: "no export will be successful without the strong production. So the production is one of the priorities of Saffron national council."
Mashhad Chamber's head announced: "No company and no individual are the members of Saffron national council and all of the productive associations can be the member of this council."
Dr. Behdani, research director of Birjand's university said: "Today organic products have high price and much added value in the world and Iranian saffron has many organic criterions. So we will achieve the brand of organic Saffron with the implementation of this plan."
