Mojnews 16 April- The 4th Meeting of Joint Economic, Industrial and Trade Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Federal Republic of Nigeria kicked off here on Sunday.

The two day event will bring together the economic, industrial and trade delegation of the two brotherly countries together in order to extend all out bilateral relations.

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Commerce Mehdi Ghazanfari who headed the Iranian delegation in the commission has expressed the country’s readiness to share its experiences with Nigeria on the removal of subsidies.

The minister highlighted the importance of World Bank and International Monetary Fund's approval of Iran's removal of its subsidies, and the positive impact it had on its economy.

Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Viola Onwuliri also explained that the Nigerian president was impressed with Iran’s positive achievements in removing subsidies.

She said that Nigeria has started the removal of subsidies, adding that her country is willing to benefit from Iran’s experience in completely removing the subsidies.

In addition to taking part in the two-day joint commission, the visiting Nigerian minister will also hold talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to discuss bilateral ties.
